Since a bar tender is employed to work at places such as taverns or at celebrations, there is almost always something fun going on while at work. When the night is over and the lights go up, everyone starts to trickle out the front door a little more broke than they were when they entered.
A shooter is a straight shot of a spirit like Whiskey. A student of mine became a bartender and doubled his take home income, with no previous bartending experience. Not many jobs offer this type of freedom while still offering great pay.
You must always remain professional, sure, have fun with it, but do not lose your head with the jerks that you will in fact run across once in awhile. There are schools that train people and help them find jobs in the bartending field. In order to have a great cover letter and resume you must design it specifically for getting a bartending job.
These are all great examples of how anyone can recession proof their income. Do not overestimate your competition or the difficulty in learning how to become a bartender.
